Same game for 150 Years- British establishment v Russian bogeyman

My new piece for RT.com OpEdge.

It is the wartime alliance that no one in the West is mentioning as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I.

Britain and Russia fought on the same side in the 'Great War', just as Britain and the Soviet Union did in World War II. But we are not supposed to mention such things in an age when British political elites have designated Russia to be an 'official enemy'.

Instead of reminding people how Britain and Russian were allies a century ago, David Cameron uses the WWI centenary to urge NATO to get tougher with Russia.

You can read the whole piece here.

"Britain's ally of two world wars is treated like a pariah, sanctioned, demonized and subject to a non-stop propaganda war of misinformation".

But we have always been at war with Eastasia!

Soviet Military Attache to Britain Admiral Kharlamov during WW2 describes very well British skulduggery in Anglo-Soviet relations in WW2.
Also I strongly suspect that the Raid on Dieppe was set up as an excuse to not launch a second front; and that the Tragedy of convoy PQ17 was set up to halt further military aid to the USSR. Red Army soldiers joked throwing British donated corned beef to each other saying "here comrade, have a tin of second front!"
Mt history of Anglo-Soviet relations in WW2 has never been published. It was serialised on the web and is available free in manuscript form on CD to interested academics and historians.
